Jane graduated in 1991 from the University of Dundee and joined a national retail company in the role of advisor in respect of planning issues and viability and planning issues for retail development projects. Thereafter, Jane gained five years Local Authority experience with Aberdeenshire Council in Development Management, Development Planning and Regeneration Management.

In 1997, Jane moved to Fife and was employed in Local Authority Development Management for ten years with responsibility for a broad range of planning applications, listed building applications and appeals. Latterly, Jane had responsibility for major applications including those requiring Environmental Impact Assessment.

In 2007, Jane joined Montgomery Forgan Associates, the largest independent planning consultancy in Scotland, and was quickly promoted to Associate level. With specific responsibility for the interests of a wide range of clients, Jane has developed particular expertise in taking forward residential, tourism, and countryside development proposals and appeals and the promotion of private land interests through the Development Plan system.

Jane is a Chartered Town Planner with over twenty years experience in professional planning practice. Formerly an Associate with Montgomery Forgan Associates architecture and town planning practice in Cupar, she has significant experience and extensive knowledge of local planning issues and has acted successfully for numerous private clients. Jane is particularly committed to ensure the optimum outcome for every project.
